Tales From Ovid, A Poetic Translation

This video explains the brilliance behind Tales from Ovid, a translation of the Roman poetry ensemble Metamorphoses. Classics has always been a passion of mine and so I read a lot of Classical Literature over the Summer for fun and to prepare for my A levels. One of my favourite books was the Metamorphoses, as I loved the huge variety in topics and time periods which it covered. I followed my reading up with some research and was interested to learn that Ted Hughes had won a Whitbread Award for translating it. After further research and upon discovering the Cambridge Classics Audiovisual Competition was themed around Metamorphosis, I decided to enter and film my findings.
